Tread Construction and Repair

Registration is closed for this event
Ever wonder how trails are built and restored? If you aren’t afraid to get a little dirty, this hands-on look at how great trails are made is for you!

Join our Palisades Trail Crew to get a taste of what trail building's all about.

Volunteers will assist the Palisades Crew in their continued trail improvements in Sterling Forest State Park, specifically in constructing several reroutes on the McKeags Meadow Loop. This project aims to improve multi-use trail options and experiences within the park. Work may include vegetation clearing, trail surface excavation, and moving and building with large native stone.

Connect with nature, meet great people, and make a difference. No experience is necessary!
